Today’s Video: Short Film-“The Blue & the Beyond”

For this edition of Booktube Bites, I’m featuring another wonderfully animated short film. The Blue & Beyond by Youri Dekker tells the story of a young, imaginative man named Charlie, who is searching to find someone like him in a world where he is different in every way. With beautiful animation, vibrant colors, and a lovely soundtrack this short film is sure to delight you. I also found it to be very meaningful as the story uses books as a metaphor for ways of thinking.

Question of the week: What is the most recent book that you read that took you on a journey to faraway places?

Have a great weekend full of lots of reading!🙂

  1. For me it’s The Reader by Traci Chee. It takes place in a gorgeous fantasy world with island nations full of lush forests, mountain ranges, and many oceans! I’m halfway through, but really liking it so far!
