As always for this segment I will find awesome book tags throughout the vast, wide inter-webs and complete mini-challenges. I’ll hope you’ll have fun and participate with me as well! Leave your own answers in the comments or write your post and link it back to me. (You are also free to use the picture if you’d like, just credit me.)

Today’s topic: TMI Tag

Found on: Sushi and Pizza

How old are you?

I just turned 23 years old.

What book are you reading?

I’m reading three books actually.

  • Water So Deep – Nichole Giles
  • Black Ice – Becca Fitzpatrick
  • I’ll Give You The Sun – Jandy Nelson

What are you wearing?

A sweatshirt and sweatpants. They’re super comfy!

OTP?

Hmm…their are quite a few pairings that I like, but my most recent pick would be Rowan and Lily from “Trial By Fire”.

Blogger or WordPress?

WordPress.

Going outside and being active or staying inside and reading a book?

Depends on the weather and the season. I’m more of an indoors person, and I spend a lot of time reading books inside. But I also enjoy reading outdoors when the weather is nice.

What is the last book you just read?

A Time to Reap (Legend of Carter Gabel #1)” – Jonas Lee

What is the book you’re going to read next?

I’m debating between finishing “Afterworlds” by Scott Westerfield or starting “Voyager” by Diana Gabaldon. Something tells me that I should finish a book I started before cracking open a new novel though.

eBooks- yes or no?

Yes, I like them and they are convenient to carry around and on-the-go. I still prefer paper books though.

Where do you prefer to read?

Indoors at home or in a cozy nook at a cafe during quieter hours.

Who is the last person you tweeted?

@SavindiJ aka Savindi from The Streetlight Reader. I love chatting with her on twitter and I think her book blog is awesome! 🙂

Whose blog did you look at last?

I can’t remember, I’ve been catching up on all of the new blog posts by bloggers I follow.

Who is your favorite blogger?

I don’t really have one favorite blogger, but to name one I frequently read… The Librarian Who Doesn’t Say Shh! Her posts are really interesting.

Who is your favorite booktuber?

Priscilla from The Readables. I love her use of colorful graphics and the way she edits her videos. I also enjoy the wide variety of books she recommends and reviews.

What do you do when someone tells you reading is boring?

Launch into a speech about how I can’t imagine a life without books and how fun and exciting reading really can really be. Most of the people I have talked to that say this have only done assigned reading in school or are just not into books at all. I feel a bit sad at hearing this, but I’m not offended.

Who is the last author you spoke to?

Ayun Halliday, author of the graphic novel “Peanut” she shared my review with her Twitter followers and tweeted me a Thank you message.

Who is the last person you texted?

My mom.

Who is your favorite all-time book character?

I actually don’t have one, I have many.

UKYA or USYA?

USYA, I guess. I haven’t read much UKYA yet. But if anyone has some suggestions of where to get started reading-wise, that would be great! 🙂

What’s your preferred drink while reading?

Tea. My favorite tea right now is called “Passion” by Tazo Tea.

How many bookshelves/bookcases do you own?

Three. They are bit small for the amount of books I own, but it does the job.

If you had the choice to meet all of your favorite book bloggers or all of your favorite authors, which would you pick? You can only pick one.

Really? It’s so hard to pick just one, but I’ll choose meeting favorite authors. It’s more accessible to meet up with book bloggers, and seeing some of my favorite authors might be a one time only chance in my life.

Insta-love: yes or no?

No, I really don’t condone it. Unless… it’s written the right way, but it’s rare that I actually enjoy stories with insta-love.

Favorite author?

I don’t have one favorite author, I have many!

What is the number-one book on your wishlist?

“The Darkest Part of the Forest” by Holly Black. I just got this book as a birthday present and I am so excited to read it!

Do you prefer books with female or male protagonists?

It doesn’t really matter, but usually I tend to gravitate towards books with female protagonists.

Which is your favorite book-to-film adaptation?

Matilda.

What is the last song you listened to?

“Work It” by Missy Elliott. Every since her performance at the Super Bowl, I’ve been listening to her music a lot.

Which do you enjoy reading more – negative reviews or positive reviews?

Both! I honestly just want to read a well written book review, so I know whether it’s really worth my time to read that book or not. Life is too short to be wasted on books you’re not going to be interested in reading.

At the same time, you also shouldn’t solely rely on just the book review. Same goes for movies, tv, etc.

Who are you going to tag?

Anybody who wants to participate! 🙂

  1. Awww, you’re so sweet Rachel! I love chatting with you two! I know that I still owe you an email about animes and mangas. Have you finished Psycho Pass yet? And man I wish I got to wear Sweatpants and a Sweatshirt today. It was super cold here in Toronto! I’ve never had Passion tea before. I’m guessing it’s some sort of flavour related to Passion Fruit? I love Black Tea and Matcha Tea. I actually use Matcha more to bake than actually drink it. Hope you’re having a great day!!

    1. I finished Psycho Pass season one, but I will probably watch season two soon. I also hear there’s a movie as well? It’s super cold here in Michigan as well! I am so ready for summer to be here! Passion tea has rose and hibiscus, so it’s a little fruity, but not too much. Black tea is good, but I’ve never had Matcha before! Stay warm!

      1. How did you like PP?!! And YESSSS there’s a movie :D. But I think we’re going to have to wait for it to be subbed :(. Do you have any favourite characters from PP? I’m ready for Summer too! I hope it’s better than last summer- I even had to wear my Winter coat in Summer, which was ridiculous lol. Ohhh that Passion tea mix sounds wonderful. You have to develop a taste for Matcha I think. Not everyone likes it because it’s grounded tea,so you’re tasting the leaf, but its great for Baking like I said! I make an awesome Matcha cake lol. It’s super easy and it’s been a hit every time I’ve made it 🙂 You stay warm too!
