Today’s Topic: Book Tates Tag

Found At: Book Coma

Hardback or Paperback?

Paperback all the way! They’re more cost efficient for me to buy and they take up way less shelf space. Plus, they are easier for me to carry when I’m on the go.

Harry Potter or Lord of The Rings?

I haven’t read either series actually. (Sorry!) But I prefer the Harry Potter Universe over LOTR.

Stephen King or RL Stine?

Hmm…I’ve actually only seen movie adaptations of King’s novels, but I’ve never read his books. So R.L. Stine is my go-to pick! I was a huge fan of the Goosebumps series as a kid.

Sci-Fi or Fantasy?

Fantasy! It’s my top favorite genre!

 Reading Indoors or Outdoors?

Reading indoors, because every outdoor reading experience I’ve ever had has ended badly. If I try to read outside usually I get attacked by mosquitoes and other bugs.

Twilight or 50 Shades of Grey?

Even though Twilight books are bad (my teenage self would disagree otherwise), I’d still pick that series over 50 Shades.

Shopping Online or Local?

Shopping locally is the best. Shopping online may be more cost efficient, but nothing beats being able to go to a physical bookstore and glance through the shelves.

The Great Gatsby or The Catcher in the Rye?

The Great Gatsby. I love novels set in the roaring twenties.

Fiction or Non-fiction?

I’m more of an escapist when it comes to reading, so Fiction is always my #1 choice.

Bookmarks or Dog-Earing?

Uggh! I could never dog ear my books, I use bookmarks all of the time.

Dr.Seuss or Ronald Dahl?

Hmm… this is a hard one to choose since both authors were childhood favorites. I guess I’d have to pick Ronald Dahl.

E-books or Audiobooks?

E-books. I haven’t listened to audio books in years since I have a hard time listening to books on CD/mp3.

  1. Enjoyed reading your responses. My tendency is towards fiction as well, but I’m making a real effort to sway the balance this year (largely inspired by the political scene), so maybe someday I will have as much trouble making this choice as some of the others (I couldn’t choose between indoors and outdoors, for instance, except for when it’s snowing )!
