What I’m Listening To…Summer Cruisin’ Vol. 2
Hello readers! I love listening to music of all genres on a daily basis. I can’t go a day without popping on some headphones and listening to some upbeat tunes while I dance around my room or relax from a long day by listening to calming songs. In my segment “What I’m Listening To” I share some of my favorite song picks with you in a mini-playlist consisting of five tracks.
Time to soak up the sun! It’s Summertime and this month’s playlist is themed around songs for Summer travel and cruising in your car. These are songs meant to inspire travel and warm weather vibes.
Roller Coaster by NMIXX
This is a K-Pop song that invokes the summer feeling through its melody and airy vocal delivery (along with the music video visuals). NMIXX really shines in this seasonal release. It’s got a sound that is energetic that you can dance along to and lyrics that are very catchy. I would listen to this while cruising on a bike ride.
Summertime by FLO
This musical trio delivers great vocals and harmonies over an early 2000s-inspired R&B instrumental, reminiscent of girl groups like Destiny’s Child or TLC. And that 2000s style rings true in this Summer themed song. With lyrics such as “Me and my girls are going in this summer” it gets you pumped up for a day trip or spending time outdoors.
Sun and Moon by Anes
Dedicated to Anes’s wife Liz Mokhiber, Sun and Moon is described as a guitar-driven love song. It has such beautiful lyrics and is such a chill and relaxing song. It’s a song great for cruising in your car or enjoying those breezy summer nights.
Summerlove by S-Connection, Anabelle
If Dance or Euro House music is your fancy, then Summerlove is the bop for you. It’s fun to dance along to and let yourself go. It’s fast-paced and energetic with a melody that is infectious. Once the song is done, you’ll want to listen to it over and over again.
Summer by Anna Takeuchi
Nothing like a fun and uplifting pop song for the Summertime. This J-Pop song with leave you with a bright and bubbly feeling after listening to it once. The lyrics sum up the joy of the season and all the fun of the season. Plus the music video is bright and colorful too!
