Top Ten Tuesday: Funny Book Titles

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s topic is Funny Book Titles! I tried to choose books that had a title with puns and stood out among the books that I read.

Everything’s Trash, But It’s Okay | Dating an Alien Popstar | Fake It Till You Break It

Passion, Betrayal and Killer Highlights | The Worst Best Man | Ghosted in La | Dear Dwayne, With Love

The Unhoneymooners | To Have and To Hoax | Merry Chris Witch

  1. The only I can think of in this moment is a collection of climate-crisis fiction in my stack right now, an anthology with a lot of diverse voices on the topic, that’s called Watch Your Head. An acquaintance overseas mentioned that this is actually quite a strange phrase, one that’s modified overseas to “Mind Your Head” because, of course, you can’t actually WATCH your own head, because your eyes are IN your head. *shrug* But sayings are weird. I enjoyed your wordplay titles: that kind of humour always gets me giggling.

    1. I like the title for that collection. It’s catchy and is something that would definitely catch my eye. Wordplay titles are my favorite. They can get so creative.

  2. Funniest title I’ve read was How to Dispatch a Human: Stories and Suggestions by Stephanie Andrea Allen.
