August Japan Crate Unboxing!

Hello everyone! I’m here with my first ever Japan Crate unboxing! I was so excited to get this box as I have been mulling or whether or not to try this subscription box, but I’m so glad I did! 😀

Japan Crate is a monthly subscription box starting at $12 (price varies by subscription) that ship worldwide and has free shipping! Each crate includes exclusive candy and snacks from Japan. In additional to candy and snacks, the crates also include a custom booklet that share descriptions of the products, , chances at monthly contests, and even a custom in-house manga.

Japan Crate also offera a few other subscription boxes too: a “Doki Doki Crate” filled with cutesy items (think plushies, cups, accessories), a “Kira Kira Crate” filled with beauty Items from Japan, and a “Umai Crate” that has a variety of noodles (ex. noodles from udon to yakisoba, spaghetti, soba, and ramen). Lots of choices to choose from!

I bought a premium Japan Crate which includes 15 full-size Japanese candy & snacks, a revolving bonus item, a Japan-exclusive drink, and a custom manga-zine with translations. The premium box runs at $30, but luckily I found a great deal through Groupon that allowed me to buy it at a good price (a one-time deal)!

August’s crate celebrated Japan’s Crate 3rd Anniversary and featured items that were favorites from past boxes.

The Items:

A custom manga-zine filled with product descriptions and information about upcoming season events in Japan.

Bluberry & Strawberry Nodo Ame (hard candy), Mario Maker DIY, Tsunaage Arare: French Dressing (light rice crackers)

Tiny Bakauke: Seaweed (rice cracker), Mike Popcorn: Noodle Broth Base Flavor, Chip Star: Seaweed Salt

Biroroon Pop (similar ti a Ring Pop), Puchi Puchi Uranai Chocolate: Strawberry, Grape Gummies, Fue Ramune + Mystery Toy Box

Kawarimi Gyogyo Gum (various flavors), 7 Stick Milk Cream (crispy wafer cookies filled with cream), One Piece Pen

Fanta Kiwi + E

Overall Thoughts:

I was so happy with August’s Japan Crate! And I am so glad I finally ordered this subscription box! I buy Japanese snacks/candy on a regular basis, and I enjoy trying the new and unique foods that I find. What l appreciated most about this box besides the fact its being shipped straight from Japan, is the variety of things offered in the box. Plus they were exclusive items. All of the items featured were completely new to me and stuff that would be harder to find in the US. I felt like I got my money’s worth in the amount of stuff offered too. I can’t wait to dig into these snacks. If you enjoy Japanese snack food/candy or like trying foods from around the world, I definitely recommend this subscription box. 😀

I look forward to subscribing to future boxes from Japan Crate! For more info about the subscription box visit: http://japancrate.com/
