Interesting Indies #1: Book Beat

interesting indies

Hello readers! Welcome to a new segment where I spotlight my favorite local indie/used bookstores.

For my first pick, I chose to spotlight the book store Book Beat. It’s an independent mid-sized book shop that carries a nice a selection of all genres. Not only does it have tons of great books, it also sells artwork too. It’s located in the Metro Detroit area and it originally opened its doors in 1982.

Ooh look! More books to buy! I could stay here forever.

Another added bonus, if you’re a music nerd like me, a cool music shop is located right next door. Street Corner Music, has nice selection of music from all genres at affordable prices. If you’re in the area, you should definitely stop by and visit this awesome indie bookstore. To see my book purchases, from my most recent trip to this store, stay tuned for my August Book Haul. Hope you enjoyed this first installment of “Interesting Indies”!
