Favorite Blogging Graphic Design Resources Vol.2

Over the years, I’ve become more comfortable with mastering blog graphics. In the beginning of my blog it was quite tricky to do basic graphic design, but it’s a lot easier now with a lot of practice and helpful resources online. Today I’d thought I share just some of my favorite blogging graphic resources. If you’re looking for websites to use, hopefully these will help you with blog graphics!

See the first set of resources click here to see my previous post.

Unsplash: Beautiful, free images and photos that you can download and use for any project. Better than any royalty free or stock photos.

Why I Like It: This is my second top go-site for getting pictures that are copyright images. They have a large variety of photos to choose from and they always come in handy when I make blog banners.

Be Funky: BeFunky Photo Editor lets you apply photo effects, edit photos and create photo collages with collage maker.

Why I Like It: BeFunky’s site is very easy to navigate and use. When I want to edit personal photos or photos for the blog, I use this site to make my pictures look 100% since my camera pictures don’t always turn out the best.

Pic Lab: Add beautiful typography & artwork, apply stunning filters and photo effects to your photos.

Why I Like It: I’ve gotten more and more into Bookstagram over the years and this is a basic, free app to help you with adding a little more to your Instagram photos. I’d love to do more typography posts in the future and this app has helped me with the basics.

Pexels: Search through thousands of royalty free images on Pexels. You can use all images on Pexels for free, even for commercial use. All images are completely royalty free.

Why I Like It: Another resource for royalty free images! It’s got good images to choose from and if I can’t find photos on my other go-to sites, I like to use this as a backup source.

Font Joy: Fontjoy helps designers choose the best font combinations. Mix and match different fonts for the perfect pairing.

Why I Like It: Not necessarily for book blogging, but I thought FontJoy is a pretty cool website to share with you all. It helps you chose font combinations before placing them with your design piece. It comes in handy when I design pieces for my social media management gig.

  1. I love Unsplash. I’ve used so many of their photos over the past couple of years. I’m going to check out PicLab. Thanks for the suggestions! (I don’t use anything else but a friend recommended Piktochart when I was making an infographic and that was fun!)
