Today’s Booktube Bite: Book Collector
This week’s video discusses a common topic all book lovers run into: book collections. You all have probably run into situation where a non-book reading friend comes over to you house, walks into your room, and the conversation goes something like this:
Friend: ….So you have….a lot of books…
You: Yes, why is there something wrong with that?
Friend: Well.. I mean why do you have so many? And that seems like a lot money spent…on…books.
You: *silently steaming*
Tiernan brings up a lot of good points in his video and I find that when you read you become a collector. I am a book collector myself and I personally love to display my books by author. And I have also bought different copies of books because of the cover variations. Like he asks in the video, how do you collect books? do you display them? are they organized by theme, color, author, etc? How do feel about book collecting?
