Today’s Topic: A-Z Bookish Survey

Author you’ve read the most books from:

Hmm..Meg Cabot, R.L. Stine, and Richelle Mead. I don’t know the official book count, so I just choose three authors who I’ve read most of their books.

Best Sequel Ever:

I honestly can’t choose one.

Currently Reading:

“Partials” by Dan Wells

Drink of Choice While Reading:

Tea or Coffee.

E-reader or Physical Book?

Physical book.

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:

Haha there are so many great fictional guys, it’s hard to choose. I can’t think of one right now.

Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:

“The Knife of Never Letting Go” by Patrick Ness

I thought I wouldn’t like it, but I ended up really enjoying the novel.

Hidden Gem Book:

Kodocha (manga series). It was written in the nineties, I believe, but I don’t hear about it all that much.

Important Moment in your Reading Life:

When I took a Ethnic literature class, I realized that my genre of books I usually read from was small and that I needed to expand my horizons. I found about new authors that immediately were added to my favorites list. It’s actually something I’m considering studying in grad school.

Just Finished:

“To All The Boys I’ve Ever Loved” by Jenny Han

Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:

I just don’t like new age or westerns. I am also picky about the types of sci-fi novels I read.

Longest Book You’ve Read:

Probably “Breaking Dawn” by Stephanie Meyer. The hardcover edition I own is a little over 700 pages long.

Major book hangover because of:

The Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. I’ve been reading her books nonstop for the past few days. I am stuck in that book universe.

Number of Bookcases You Own:

Three.

One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:

I actually have never read a book more than once. I haven’t had the time to re-read some of my favorites, but I would like to.

Preferred Place To Read:

In my living room at home.

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:

I’ll use a quote from a book I just read. It describes perfectly how I feel about my love for reading and books.

“Sometimes, you read a book and it fills you with this weird evangelical zeal, and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put back together unless and until all living humans read the book.” – John Green (The Fault in Our Stars)

Reading Regret:

“Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies” by Seth Grahame-Smith. I didn’t particularly care for Austen’s original novel, so I tried this spin-off version. I only read through several chapters since it was so boring.

Series You Started And Need To Finish(all books are out in series):

So I happen to be reading so many series right now, that I can’t even name them all.

  • Night Huntress Series by Jeaniene Frost
  • Divergent Series by Veronica Roth
  • Iron Fey Series by Julie Kagawa
  • Darkness Rising Series by Kelley Armstrong

Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:

  • “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn” by Betty Smith
  • “Picture of Dorian Gray”- Oscar Wilde
  • “Fangirl”- Rainbow Rowell

Unapologetic Fangirl For:

Vampire Academy Series

Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:

I’m not caught up with book releases at the moment, but more focused on getting through a chunk of my TBR list.

Worst Bookish Habit:

Starting a series and then forgetting about it completely.

X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:

“Secrets in the Shadows” by Jenna Black (I haven’t even read it yet)

Your latest book purchase:

“How English Works” by Ann Raimes (for my ESL teaching practicum class)

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):

The Night Huntress Series, I stayed up late to finish some of those books, knowing I had to go to work the next morning.
