Today’s Topic: The Modern-Day Christmas Song Tag

Found At: Narrative Paradise

Underneath the Tree by Kelly Clarkson: A book you want to find under the Christmas tree this year.

The Ballad of Perilous Graves by Alex Jennings! The story follows a version of New Orleans where music is magic, a battle for the city’s soul brews between two young mages, a vengeful wraith, and one powerful song.

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas by Michael Bublé: A book to get in the festive mood.

Christmas in Rose Bend by Naima Simone. The reader will feel as if they’ve been transported into a Hallmark movie as Rose Bend is a quaint little town full of festive vibes. It is a place where the magic of Christmas shines with its numerous decorations and fun holiday-themed activities for the town to celebrate.

Mistletoe by Justin Bieber: A guilty pleasure read you feel bad for liking so much.

I don’t have any guilty pleasure reads anymore. I don’t label them like that, but I used to for certain books I was embarrassed about reading.

One More Sleep by Leona Lewis: A book release you are/were counting down the days for.

Bookshops & Bonedust by Travis Baldree! I loved the previous novel Legends & Lattes so much. Cozy Fantasy has easily become one of my new favorite sub-genres. If a low-stakes fantasy is your cup of tea then these books are for you.

Christmas Lights by Coldplay: A book cover that looks as pretty as Christmas lights.

Love At The Icicle Café by Denise Wheatley! Its gives me all the magical holiday feels and the couple on the front cover is too cute! This novel is filled with a cute romance, rediscovering things from the past, and too many baked goods I wanted to devour in one sitting.

8 Days of Christmas by Destiny’s Child: Which bookish character do you think gives the best Christmas presents?

The main character, Lila, is a book blogger in The Holiday Switch by Tif Marcelo. I think she would give the best Christmas presents because she works in a holiday store and writes reviews of all the best holiday books to read. She would know what festive reads would make great presents.
