Today’s Topic: The Adventure Book Tag

Found At: And On She Reads

Which character would you love to go on an adventure with?

The characters from Yona of the Dawn: Yona, Hak, Yoon, Kija, Jae-ha, Zeno. Though this story is set int a fictional world of Kouka they would seem like such good road trip buddies. Sure there will be bickering and whatnot, but this rag-tag group seems like so much fun. It’s what keeps me invested in the story (currently I’ve only read 7 volumes).

If you could be any character for the day, who would you be and why?

Amari from the Night Brothers series. I think it would cool to be a magician even though her character is a novice at it. Going to a camp to practice my supernatural skills and having the ability to fly or transport myself through magical portals would be interesting for sure.

What book is on your TBR bucket list?

Skin of the Sea sounds like a fantastic read! I don’t usually see stories featuring Black mermaids and we need more of them.

Which book has a contemporary setting you would love to go to?

In The Holiday Switch, the setting of Holly in this novel seems straight out of a Hallmark movie and seeing how they embrace Christmas pulls you into the narrative. I love Christmas I wouldn’t mind traveling to a seasonal-themed town even when it’s not the holidays.

Which book has a fantasy / fictional setting you would love to go to?

Auteri in the Eva Evergreen series! It seems like a very cozy seaside town with a welcoming community and lots of stuff to do. There are lots of places to explore and from its descriptions of the water that lined the coast to its annual light festival, it seems like a great spot for a vacation.

What book or book edition would you do anything to get our hands on?

I’ve never really read much of the Sailor Moon manga, but I’m a longtime fan of the series. I’ve read a couple of the Eternal Editions of the manga from the library, and they are stunning. They are huge volumes though and they take up a lot of space. It will have to wait until I get a bigger bookshelf or have more overall shelf space to collect them.

Name a character who is very adventurous and daring.

Rust in the Root follows the main character, Laura, who lives in a world divided full of technology and magic. Laura is a quick-witted young woman whose honesty often lands her into more trouble than not. Though some may think she’s all talk she is able to think on her toes in times of danger and find resources in the most barren of places. I admired her courageous spirit.

Name the craziest or weirdest place you’ve ever read a book.

I really can’t think of anything crazy or weird. I usually take my books on the go or read at home. I have taken books on trips too. I will say that one of the most scenic places I’ve read a book is on the balcony of a cabin when I visited the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. It was so serene and peaceful.
