Book Tag Thursday: #NotAll Book Tag

Welcome to my segment where I find awesome book tags throughout the vast, wide inter-webs made by lovely bloggers like you! I’ll hope you’ll have fun and participate with me as well!

Today’s Topic: #NotAll Book Tag

Found At: Zezee With Books

#NotAll Cover Changes — A cover change you liked

This book is still sitting on my tbr pile. *face palm* I own the first edition which is quite lovely, but I like the new covers even more.

#NotAll Adaptations — An adaptation you love more than the book

The movie is 1000x times better the movie, which is really rare for me to say. The book and movie follow relatively the same plot, but the writing in the book felt incredibly dry.

#NotAll Tropes — A trope you’ll never tire of seeing

The “falling in love with best friends” trope. I’ve seen it done time and time again, but I never get tired of it at all. When it’s written the right way it feels like a cozy read.

#NotAll Instalove — You instaloved this instacouple

Everything about Geekerella was so cute! It was very predictable, but such a fun read. Seeing too geeky people who fell in love with passion for their fandom was so nice!

#NotAll Love Triangles — An example of a love triangle done well

Hmmm…I can’t think of one. The most recent books that I’ve read with love triangles have been kind of one-sided.

#NotAll Parents — Bookish parents that, you know, parent!

In I Believe in a Thing Called Love, I loved Desi’s dad! He always had her back and wants the best for her. Plus I thought it was cute how they bonded together over their love of Korean Dramas.

#NotAll Villains — A villain you love

In Daughter of the Pirate King, the Riden starts out as a villain due to him being a son of rival pirate, but has a softer personality. since feels an obligation to follow his brothers orders not only because of loyalty, but he’s also family. His character really grew on me.

#NotAll Chosen Ones — A chosen one you can get behind

I pondered over this for a while, but I couldn’t come up with an answer.

#NotAll Hyped Books — A book that lived up to the acclaim

I was wary about reading this book because it was so hyped up, but I ended up enjoying it so much! It had a good balance of action, fantasy, and romance. I need to finish the rest of trilogy.

#NotAll *Insert Favorite Genre* — A book you’re not keen on from your favorite genre

Science fiction is one of my favorite genres, but I just could not get into this book. My and Zezee With Books chose it as a buddy read, but it was so slow-moving and a bit dry at times.

  1. Yea yo. The Devourers just didn’t work at all.
Oh I love the Devil Wears Prada movie. There was a time when I considered reading the book but didn’t bother to.
