When all but one child from the same classroom mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.
I didn’t watch Cregger’s previous film Barbarian, going into this film, but I was familiar with his style. Still I didn’t know what to expect despite seeing lots of promo for this film. It a was dark, gritty, comedic, sometimes weird horror movie. I feel that it was a standout movie in 2025 among the other releases I’ve seen this year. Though it takes inspiration from horror tropes, it manages to be a very original concept. I think the story has very strong storytelling and I loved the acting. I was still left confused by some parts of the film after watching it, but maybe there will be a sequel in the future?

We Need To Talk Podcast – Nadiya Hussain
This conversation with Nadiya moved me and inspired me. I learned so much about her beyond her baking shows and time on GBBF competition. I love Nadaiya’s approach to cooking because she made it seem accessible and fun to learn. It was heartbreaking to hear about all of her struggles and I hope to continue to see more content from her in the future.
The Cost of Growing Up: An Everybody Hates Chris Retrospective
Everybody Hates Chris was only on the air for four seasons, but it made such a strong impression that 20 years later it managed to get an animated spin-off. I love watching Jose’s retrospectives and I knew I wanted to watch this one as I was such a fan of the series. This deep dive is interesting especially how it discusses the plot of the show to be universal and many elements of it are still relatable today.
Music
Head Over Heels by Jenevieve
“Head Over Heel is the second single off of Jenevieve’s 2nd studio album CRYSALIS. It’s a smooth, easygoing R&B track that I find very relaxing. She tends to blend traditional and modern R&B with electronic beats and it works very well in this track.
Know Me by Riehata
Rie Hata is a Japanese-Filipino choreographer, dancer, teacher, and entrepreneur. She has worked on choreography for artists such as BTS, TWICE, NCT127, aespa, and King & Prince. I love her vocal on this groovy R&B track and how the sound takes you back to the Y2K era of music.
Whenever I Call You “Friend” by Kenny Loggins
Whenever I Call You ‘Friend’ is a duet with Stevie Nicks and is considered a yacht rock classic. The song explores how friendship and romantic love intermingle. It’s such a catchy and groovy tune that I especially I love to listen to when I’m driving in the car.

I read some really good books and we caught up with Welcome to Wrexham and watched a lot of The Great British Sewing Bee during the month. I’m really sad for Nadiya as I think she’s great, too.
Me too. That interview was heartbreaking, but she seems so resiliant and I’m glad she’s still sharing her her love of cooking through new formats. I have not heard of the Great British Sewing Bee though. That sounds fun!
