What I’m Listening To…Holiday Edition

Hello readers! I love listening to music of all genres on a daily basis. I can’t go a day without popping on some headphones and listening to some upbeat tunes while I dance around my room or relax from a long day by listening to calming songs. In this blog post series, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite song picks with you in a mini-playlist of five songs.

This month’s edition of “What I’m Listening To” will supply you with some tunes for the holidays! This month I’m sharing some Christmas songs that I enjoy. A few are long-time favorites and others are quite new to me. It was hard to narrow down this playlist since I have so many favorite Christmas songs, but I did my best! Enjoy the playlist!

Christmas Vibez by Ne-Yo, Dre Island

When you think of tropical Christmas songs Mele Kalikimaka comes to mind since that’s played the most on the radio. Christmas Vibez is the perfect blend of festive and beachy vibes as a whole. It’s a very chill song that is great for a relaxed Christmas playlist.

Love You More At Christmastime by Kelly Rowland

One of the newer songs that I love to listen to all the time is Love You More At Christmastime. It was used as a single to promote Merry Liddle Christmas, a holiday film in which Rowland stars in (which I recommend watching) and it gives me all the season feels. It’s fun, lighthearted, and a song that gets you moving.

It’s Christmas Time by B1A4

I have so many Chrismtas K-Pop songs that I love to listen to all season long and this is one of my favorite songs to play every year. It’s fun and playful, with a upbeat tempo. The mixture of rapping, sweet vocals, and jingle bells sound effects in the background make it a good Christmas track.

Give Love on Christmas Day by Jackson 5

What is the holiday season without a Motown Christmas song? I think this is my favorite holiday track by the Jackson 5 because I love the harmonies of the brothers and the overall melody. Most of all I appreciate the message of the song about Christmas being the season of giving.

Lousiana Christmas Day by Aaron Neville

This is a song I’ve been jamming out to since I was younger. It’s upbeat and has that cajun flare that reflects the setting/theme of the song. It makes you want to clap your hands and sing along. A Christmas dance song for sure!

I hope you enjoyed this playlist! What are your favorite holiday/Christmas songs? Comment below with your picks.

  1. I think I need to find some K-Pop Christmas tunes! One of my favourite Christmas records is a Hawaiian guitar LP I bought years ago from a charity shop (my husband hates it, but I like to bring it out for when I’m wrapping presents). Then again, I had Elton John’s Step Into Christmas in my head (no headphones needed!) when I was out running for over an hour yesterday …
