January Doki Doki Crate Unboxing!

Doki Doki Crate is a monthly subscription box that runs at $30, ships worldwide and has free shipping! Each crate includes  5-7 practical items ranging from exclusive apparel to licensed collectibles, household goods, plushies and more from Japan.

Japan Crate also offera a few other subscription boxes too: a “Japan Crate” filled with various snacks/candy from Japan, a “Kira Kira Crate” filled with beauty Items from Japan, and a “Umai Crate” that has a variety of noodles (ex. noodles from udon to yakisoba, spaghetti, soba, and ramen). Lots of choices to choose from!

January’s box theme is “Puppy New Year Crate” to celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year. 2018 is the year of the dog.

What I Received

Shiba Mat – I hesitated on subscribing to this box, but when I saw it included a Shiba Inu mat, I was won over! This mat is so cute and it’s cozy too!

Cinnamaroll Notebook – Anytime I hear some Sanrio related will be included in the box I get excited. I love Cinnamaroll! He’s definitely in my top 5 favorite Sanrio characters. For years I actually thought he was a bunny ( I blame the long ears), but he’s just a cute dog.

Dog Ema – Ema are wooden plaques with wishes/prayers that are hung at shrines in hopes that the gods will answer them. There were two dogs featured in these boxes; I received the black dog which “hopes that all dreams will come true”. I hope this gives me good luck in 2018.

Dog Sponge – Ah so cute! It’s almost too cute to even use, but I look forward to using it as soon as possible. I’ll just have to make it last as long as I can.

Dog Plush – I can’t have dogs where I live so this is the next best thing! I love dogs and not only is this plush super cute, but it’s so soft too!

Overall Thoughts

Hands down, this was my most favorite Doki Doki Crate since my first crate in November! I love dogs, especially Shiba Inus and when I saw those types of items were featured in this crate I knew I would love it. I felt I got my money’s worth and some these items I know would be harder to find in the US (and if they were here they would be more expensive). I like the variety of items used from practical to collectible things. Since the past few boxes have featured plushies I hope next month will bring a mug or t-shirt like they’ve done in the past. Thumbs up for January’s box.

I look forward to subscribing to future boxes from Doki Doki Crate! For more info about the subscription box visit: https://www.japancrate.com/dokidoki
