Favorite Bookish Podcasts Vol.1!

Hello readers! I love listening to podcasts at work, home, and while on-the-go. I talked about some of the podcasts that I listen to in the past, but today I thought I would share some of my favorite bookish podcasts with you. I hope you enjoy these picks!

All the Books is a weekly book podcast of recommendations and discussions about the most interesting and exciting new book releases.

I love listening to this podcast because it keeps me updated on the newest books and some of the releases I may have missed. It also introduces books from genres I’m not usually exposed to. I love variety of books discussed in each episode.

You think you know the story…But do you really? Every other Saturday, Tales presents ancient fairy tales the way they were originally told: orally, and unadulterated. Tales is part of the Parcast Network and is a Cutler Media production.

I enjoy many of Parcasts podcasts and their narrators, but my favorite bookish podcast from them is the Tales podcast. I love reading fairy tales and this podcasts shares tales from around the globe without sugarcoating the stories as they were told to us as children. They are fantasy filled, interesting, sometimes eerie. Some of my favorite episodes include: Momotaro, The Nightingale, The Blue Belt.

The Book Riot Podcast is a weekly news and talk show about what’s new, cool, and worth talking about in the world of books and reading, brought to you by the editors of Book Riot.

When it comes to bookish news, this is one of my top favorite podcasts. As a book blogger and a reader I like to be in tune into what’s going on in book news. It’s informative, laid back, and interesting. Plus I enjoy listening to my hosts. They also do some really good recommendations episodes in which I add even more books to my TBR.

When In Romance. When In Romance is a biweekly romance podcast dedicated to romance novel news, enthusiasm, and romance book recommendations from Book Riot!

I love to read romance so I’m always looking for romance books to read. I love the energetic vibes of the hosts and their takes on the spicy and sweet romance books I need to add to my TBR. This romance podcast has a litte bit of everything: bookish news, recommendations, and showcases the world of Romancelandia.

By the Book is half reality show, half self-help podcast, and one wild social experiment. In each episode we choose a different self help book to live by – following every rule, down to the letter – to find out which ones might actually be life changing.

Like the description states, this podcast is focused on find out whether or not popular self-help books actually work. I love the snarky, sassy, and hilarious banter between the two hosts and their commentary on the books they choose for each episode. I also like that we get to hear their snippets of what’s happening as they try the self-help’s books rules/experience. It’s a realistic podcast that is fun and refreshing.

Welcome to Smart Podcast, Trashy Books! Each Friday, I talk with authors, readers, reviewers, bloggers, publishing professionals, editors, and librarians, or combinations thereof, and share the fun and mayhem with you. Frequent topics include romance fiction, the brilliant and interesting people who read, write, and produce it, and issues common among romance readers, along with a hefty side order of silliness. Plus, we always recommend some books we’re reading and really enjoying.

I’m a long-reader of Smart Bitches, Trashy Books’ blog and their podcast is equally as good. They cover a variety of topics, news, book in the Romance genre. I also like that they feature Romance authors on episodes too! They discuss many issues within the romance community, while being entertaining and fun!
