Today’s Booktube Bite: Top 5 Book to Movie Adaptations of 2015

This week’s Booktube Bites is a little different from the others. Instead of spotlighting one video, I’ll be sharing my top 5 book to movie adaptations I’m looking forward to in 2015. Here are my picks!

1) Insurgent

Yay!  I finished this book sometime in the latter half of 2014 and I really enjoyed it. I actually liked “Insurgent” better than the first novel and judging by the trailer, it looks even more action packed than before. Can’t wait to see how the novel will be depicted on the big screen and I looking forward to seeing the cast again.

2) Paper Towns

Another John Green novel I really enjoyed! I still have yet to see “The Fault In Our Stars”, so that movie is still on my to be watched list. “Paper Towns” was a really intriguing novel and I think readers of the book as well as moviegoers will like the story.

3) Mockingjay: Part 2

I am so excited and sad to see the release of the final “Hunger Games film”. So far, “Catching Fire” has been my favorite film adaptation, but I haven’t been able to see “Mockingjay: Part 1” yet so that might change. I think this movie series has gone progressively better with acting, CGI, action, etc. since the first movie was released.

4)  Victor Frankenstein

FrankensteinSet-1

Stars Daniel Radcliffe, who plays the character of Igor. It will be interesting to see the adaptation since the classic story of Frankenstein is told by Igor’s point of view. I have high hopes for this film.

5) Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children

Miss-Peregrines-Home

Still has yet to read this tale about tale of a boy who, following a horrific family tragedy, follows clues that take him to an abandoned orphanage on a Welsh island. I have got to finally read this book this year! And it’s directed by one of my favorite directors, Tim Burton!

There is my list of top 5 book to movie adaptations for 2015. What films are you most excited about for 2015? Comment below! 🙂
