Today’s Video: All That – Loud Librarian

This week’s viral pick comes from one of my favorite shows, All That. All That was American live-action, sketch comedy-variety show which originally aired on the Nickelodeon  from 1994 to 2005, lasting ten seasons total. The Loud Librarian, was a popular sketch starring Lori Beth Denberg, as a librarian who would ironically yell out, “Quiet, this is a library!” along with various noisemakers whenever the silence in her library was accidentally violated.

I used to watch All That all the time growing up. It was a fun and hilarious show that was like SNL (Saturday Night Live) for kids. The Loud Librarian is one of my favorite sketches to this day and if my library was actually like this, then I probably wouldn’t be able to tolerate it. Lori Beth does a fantastic job of being an obnoxious librarian.

Question of the Week: What is the worst library experience you have ever had?

    1. Oh really? As a ki,d my old library only let us take out five at a time, but at my current local library we can take out as many books as we want (but DVDs, CDs, etc. are still limited). I completely understand how you feel to only be able to checkout so few books.

      1. I had a library where I could check out twelve at a time. That was bliss. But those were run for the purpose of promoting the language. My current library is a private one, perhaps that why. I am so glad your library is more flexible
