Today’s Topic: Disney Princess Book Tag

Found On: Book Coma

SNOW WHITE: WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE CLASSIC?

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald!

CINDERELLA: WHAT KEPT YOU UP PAST YOUR BEDTIME?

The last book I binge read all night was Sweet Thing by Renee Carlino. It’s something about the way she writes that has me hooked and I like the variety of characters in each story.

AURORA: WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE CLASSIC ROMANCE?

Hmm…I guess Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte? It’s characterized as a Classic Romance, but I actually like the book for the plot not the romance aspect.

ARIEL: NAME A BOOK ABOUT MAKING SACRIFICES AND FIGHTING FOR YOUR DREAMS.

Like Vanessa by Tami Charles. Vanessa does her very best to win her school’s pageant and prove all the haters wrong despite her circumstances.

BELLE: NAME A BOOK WITH A SMART, INDEPENDENT FEMALE CHARACTER.

The Reader by Traci Chee. Sefia, the main character, is a girl who grew up with so little, but she becomes such a fierce warrior throughout the course of the story. Even though she has a companion she is very resourceful, independent, and strong!

JASMINE: NAME A BOOK WITH A CHARACTER THAT CHALLENGED THE SOCIAL CONVENTIONS OF HIS/HER WORLD.

Starr from The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. A tragic incident propels her to speak out and force others to have a more vocal conversation about police brutality that spreads through her neighborhood and beyond.

POCAHONTAS: NAME A BOOK WHOSE ENDING WAS A ROLLER COASTER OF EMOTIONS.

The Diviners by Libba Bray, though the first book in the series comes to a solid ending, I still had so many questions. And it seems like there’s a new enemy on the forefront, so I can’t wait to get wait to read the next book!

MULANNAME A BOOK WITH A KICKASS FEMALE CHARACTER.

Elle from An Extraordinary Union by Alyssa Cole! She’s a spy for the Union Army and she goes on a very important mission in this book.

TIANA: NAME A BOOK FEATURING A HARDWORKING, SELF-MADE CHARACTER.

I have so many characters I can choose from, but I’m drawing a complete blank on my answer!

RAPUNZEL: A BOOK THAT FEATURES AN ARTIST.

You’re Welcome, Universe is the story a deaf teen who is very talented at graffiti art. I also appreciated how the book shows ASL (American Sign Language) in-depth.

MERIDA: NAME A BOOK THAT FEATURES A MOTHER-DAUGHTER RELATIONSHIP.

Yaqui Delgado Wants to Kick Your Ass by Meg Medina. Though Piddy, the main character, and her mom don’t always see eye to eye, she realizes that her mom gives her tough love 24/7 because she’s truly looking out for her.

ANNA & ELSA: A BOOK WITH A GREAT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SIBLINGS.

The Song sisters from To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. Though they get into arguments throughout the whole series, they stick to together always.

  1. What a cute tag!

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE CLASSIC? Mine is Jane Eyre. I also enjoyed The Great Gatsby too – I don’t understand why so many people hate on it?

Oh my gosh! I also love Wuthering Heights!!! Also not for the romance since that doesn’t exactly pan out lol I’m all about those gothic feels.
