Today’s Topic: Ultimate Book Tag

Do you get sick while reading in the car?

Nope.

Which author’s writing style is completely unique to you and why?

Hmm…John Green, he’s not necessarily unique, but his book talk about very real and relatable subjects.

Harry Potter Series or the Twilight Saga? Give 3 points to defend your answer.

Haven’t read Harry Potter, but I like it more than Twilight.

  • Developed characters
  • A school for wizards (how cool!)
  • Magic creatures/spells

Do you carry a book bag? If so, what is it in (besides books…)?

Not really, only when I’m going on a trip, I usually carry a couple of books with me. The only “book bag” I own is my backpack.

Do you smell your books?

Yes.

Books with or without little illustrations?

Well I like books and graphic novels, but I’m going to steer towards books w/o illustrations.

What book did you love while reading but discovered later it wasn’t quality writing?

Twilight, lol.

Do you have any funny stories involving books from your childhood?

I was reading the book “Socks”(about a cat) by Beverly Clearley when a spider decided to climb inside the pages. I flung my book across the room and I didn’t pick it up ever again. Even though there were copies in the library I refused to pick up that book for fear of spiders jumping out (I absolutely hate them!)

What is the thinnest book on your shelf?

My pocket style Japanese phrase book.

What is the thickest book on your shelf?

“The Diviners” by Libba Bray.

Do you write as well as read? Do you see yourself in the future as being an author?

Yes and yes. I want to start writing a novel as soon as possible.

When did you get into reading?

Since I was able to read.

What is your favorite classic book?

I know everyone says “Great Gatsby” a lot so I’m going to be a rebel and say “The Picture of Dorian Gray” by Oscar Wilde. That man is a genius!

In school was your best subject Language Arts/English?

Yes.

If you were given a book as a present that you had read before and hated…what would you do?

Gave it away or sold it.

What is a lesser known series that you know of that is similar to Harry Potter or the Hunger Games?

I can’t really think of a specific series…

What is your favorite word?

Laughter. (It’s my life philosophy)

Are you a nerd, dork, or dweeb? Or all of the above?

Nerdy.

Vampires or Fairies? Why?

Vampires. Because they are nocturnal and very scary!

Shapeshifters or Angels? Why?

Angels. So many stories you can create with angels. They can be good or bad (and downright scary).

Any Whovians out there? Weeping angels are terrifying.

Spirits or Werewolves? Why?

Hmm…spirits. I don’t have a legit reason, just think they’re cooler.

Zombies or Vampires?

Vampires, we have already discussed this.

Love Triangle or Forbidden Love?

Ooo Forbidden Love always makes a angsty love story!

Full on romance books or action-packed with a few love scenes mixed in?

I like both, but I’m going to have to say action packed.
