1. Favorite horror book?

through-the-woods-

Through The Woods by Emily Carroll. The stories are about things that go bump in the night and whole book has an eerie feeling. Plus the illustrations, while beautiful, are also pretty creepy too.
2. Scariest moment in a book you’ve read?

I don’t really have one particular moment from one book. But it’s usually when the person or “thing” jumps out of nowhere and snatches up the main character while their hiding from the killer.
3. Would you or have you ever dressed up as a book character for Halloween?

No, but I would love to! I would probably dress up as a character from a children’s book like Madeline, or someone from Harry Potter.
4. What do you think your favorite character would dress up as for Halloween?

This is a hard question since I don’t really have one favorite literary character. I had to pick one character, Rose from Vampire Academy, then I feel like she would dress up in something sassy like Cat Woman.
5. What is your favorite kind of horror? (gore, psychological thriller, spooky)

I love the whole genre, but spooky horror is my absolute favorite, with psychological thrillers coming in as a close second.
6. If books were as cheap as candy, which ones would you give out to trick-or-treaters?

I’m assuming these book are for children, so here are my three picks (my own childhood favorites)…

in a dark, dark room

In a Dark, Dark Room and Other Scary Stories by Alvin Schwartz

The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda D. Williams

Where_The_Wild_Things_Are_(book)_cover

Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak

7. Halloween to-read list?

Nothing planned at the moment, but I probably will read some stories by H.P. Lovecraft or Edgar Allen Poe.
8. Recommend some Halloween reads!

If you like psychological thrillers…

confessions

Confessions by Kanae Minato

Paranormal Romance?

The Ghost and the Graveyard (book1)

The Ghost and the Graveyard by Genevieve Jack

YA…

The Coldest Girl in Coldtown

The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black
