What Book(s) (or audiobook) have you been meaning to read for a long time but haven’t gotten around to reading.

I started the audiobook for Not Your Sidekick over a year ago and never finished it. I was doing so well with audiobooks and then my schedule got busy. I’m hoping to get back to the book before the end of the year.

A book you’ve been meaning to reread but haven’t.

The whole Fruits Basket series! I haven’t read these books since junior high/early high school. I’d love to revisit the series since I only now remember bits and pieces of it. It was so well written and has so many memorable characters. I still have to watch the new anime adaptation.

A book from a genre you don’t normally read but have been meaning to try and give it a chance.

I honestly can’t think of anything since I like to read most genres.

A series you’ve been wanting to read but haven’t because of how long it is.

I adored the TV (animated) adaptation of Redwall as a child and have always wanted to read the series. It seems like novels I would want to read, but there is a total of twenty-two books in the series. I know it’s a long commitment and my schedule is busier now so it would be harder to read. I feel like it’s a series that should be read in succession and (the books) close together.

A book you wish you could go back in time and read for the first time.

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn! However, I wish I read this book for the first time when I was a little older (like in high school or as an adult). I loved reading this book in 7th grade, but I feel like I would gain a lot more from the story in my life now. I do want to re-read it one day still!

Book recommendation you’ve been putting off.

As much as I love horror films, it’s harder for me to read horror books because I’m more easily spooked. I’ve read one of Junji Ito’s collections before but the book I really want to tackle is Uzumaki. The artwork alone seems terrifying, but I heard it’s a highly recommended read. Maybe I’ll get to it for Halloween 2022?
