Today’s Topic: Totally Should Have Book Tag

Found At: Bookneeders

Totally should’ve gotten a sequel

I would have loved to have read more about Piddy’s adventures after she overcomes the obstacles of dealing with high school bullies. I think it would be cool to have a series to expand on her life experiences. (See review here)

An author that totally should write more books

I loved this book so much! It’s full of delicious food, culture, magical realism, and the importance of family. I think she’s a wonderful writer and I’d like to see more works from her.

A character that totally should’ve ended up with someone else

Leila, one of the main characters in this story deserves so much better than Neel. He was a scumbag and even after he somewhat redeems himself I thought she shouldn’t stick with him.

Totally should’ve ended differently

I loved the historical fiction aspect and how the story’s focused on a forbidden orchid, but the second half is too rushed. The ending is a bit abrupt and it could have been fleshed out a bit more. (See review here)

Totally should’ve had a movie franchise

I could see this book series being turned into a TV/Hollywood movie series. It’s got a interesting concept, engaging characters, and a good mystery to solve. I could see it being adapted by PBS.

Totally should’ve had only one point of view

I can’t really think of any for this prompt. I enjoy books with multiple points of views.

Totally should’ve had a cover change

I think I would changed the castle to be the forefront of the cover art? Or something else royal-themed. (See review here)

Totally should’ve kept the original covers

I can’t think of any books for this prompt either. I am always welcome to cover changes for a book. I love to see the variety of designs.

Totally should’ve stopped at book one

I was so excited to read this book because of the hype, but it ultimately felt underwhelming. I think the story could have been condensed into one novel.

  1. Lol totally agree about the Diviners.
I stopped at book 1 with Witches of East End. It started out good and then went downhill quick.
