In fall, the air is crisp and clear: Name a book with a vivid setting!

One of the great aspects about Kingdom of Souls is atmosphere throughout the book. Barron describes the vivid scenery of the lush jungles and kingdom that the main character Arrah lives in.

Nature is beautiful…but also dying: Name a book that is beautifully written, but also deals with a heavy topic like loss or grief.

Charles has a very smooth, lyrical quality to her writing and this book is a wonderful coming of age story, but also a story of loss. The main character Beatriz is grieving over the loss of her brother and we see how it affects her.

Fall is back to school season: Share a non-fiction book that taught you something new.

A Well-Read Woman was a interesting book because it taught me more about how libraries operated in the past. I had never heard about Rapport before reading this story and I enjoyed learning about her contributions to libraries.

In order to keep warm, it’s good to spend some time with the people we love: Name a fictional family/household/friend-group that you’d like to be a part of.

I think hanging out with the Song sisters would be fun since they are such tight-knit siblings. I love to bake so Laura Jean would be able to give me some new recipes to try out.

The colorful leaves are piling up on the ground: Show us a pile of fall-colored spines!

All of these colors in these book’s cover art just remind me of Fall with the warm tones and colors.

Fall is the perfect time for some storytelling by the fireside: Share a book wherein somebody is telling a story.

In this novel, the main character Morgan is telling her own story to the readers. She shares her thoughts through diary entries and it feels like she’s talking to the readers directly.

The nights are getting darker: Share a dark, creepy read.

This novel was eerie and suspenseful! It’s a mashup of The Walking Dead and Little Red Riding Hood as the main character is trying to survive an infection outbreak.

The days are getting colder: Name a short, heartwarming read that could warm up somebody’s cold and rainy day.

This Children’s picture book gave me some Tim Burton vibes. The artwork is incredibly and it felt like watching a movie. The story talks about friendship and bullying, but is overall lighthearted.

Fall returns every year: Name an old favorite that you’d like to return to soon.

When I was in junior high/high school I devoured this series! It’s one of my favorite series by Cabot and I’d love to do a re-read soon. It’s supernatural series with action, danger, heart, and a lot of humor!

Fall is the perfect time for cozy reading nights: Share your favorite cozy reading “accessories”!

I use this blanket more in the winter, but I love it so much! Especially on colder nights, this blanket keeps me warm. And it’s literary too so it’s a plus!

    1. I found through my library’s interloan program. Because it’s translated book (with Japanese and English) text) it was a bit difficult to find, but libraries do carry it.

  1. Oh man, I am so excited for the actual fall weather to arrive so I can cuddle up under a blanket. Do I even remember how to enjoy cuddling up under blankets? IT HAS BEEN SO LONG. Anyway, your literary blanket looks wonderful. 🙂
