Synopsis:

Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?

Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan’s life. Having missed her flight, she’s stuck at JFK airport and late to her father’s second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon-to-be stepmother Hadley’s never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport’s cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he’s British, and he’s sitting in her row.

A long night on the plane passes in the blink of an eye, and Hadley and Oliver lose track of each other in the airport chaos upon arrival. Can fate intervene to bring them together once more?

Quirks of timing play out in this romantic and cinematic novel about family connections, second chances, and first loves. Set over a twenty-four-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver’s story will make you believe that true love finds you when you’re least expecting it. (description from Goodreads)

Review:

This book is a cute story about falling in love at first sight. Our main character, Hadley, travels to England for her dad’s wedding. While falling in love with Oliver, the handsome British boy from the plane, she tries to sort out her feelings about her parent’s divorce and forgive her dad. With this added dilemma, the book is not only about romance, but it also slightly turns out to be a coming of age story as well.

Although the book is short in length, it’s still a very enjoyable read. While reading the novel I did have my doubts that all the events in this book actually transpired in the short time span that it took place (yes, I know it’s fiction). But I also think it’s what makes the story so intriguing to members.

While reading this book it really sparked a travel bug in me. I immediately wanted to hop on a plane and travel to England and go on an adventure. So for people who love to travel to different places, I think you’ll enjoy this novel too!

Final Verdict:

A nice and short romance book that takes the reader on a mini travel adventure. 4 out of 5 stars!
