What I’m Listening To…Cozy Christmas

Hello readers! I love listening to music of all genres on a daily basis. I can’t go a day without popping on some headphones and listening to some upbeat tunes while I dance around my room or relax from a long day by listening to calming songs. In this blog post series, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite song picks with you in a mini-playlist of five songs.

This month’s edition of “What I’m Listening To” will supply you with some tunes for the holidays! I’m sharing five tracks to give you all the cozy holiday vibes from mellow to bright. I hope you all enjoy these picks!

Winter Dream by Stella Jang

Winter Dream is a lovely waltz about the Christmas season. Stella’s soft and cherry vocals mesh well with this lighthearted track. It’s fun, feels a bit whimsy, and I love that her MV fits the song’s campy lyrics. Hearing this song always puts a smile on my face.

Hard Candy Christmas by Dolly Parton

Though the songs lyric’s are a bit melancholy, I always find this song so soothing to listen to. I appreciate the song’s message a sense of resilience and optimism in the face of adversity. The holidays can be a difficult time for many and this song resonates with many for its overall theme.

Never Knew Christmas by Avery Sunshine

If you love R&B music, you definitely need to add Avery Sunshine. Her music and vocals are always a breath of fresh air on my playlists. This song is a smooth ballad about love during the holidays. It’s calming for those that want a more mellow Christmas song.

There Goes Santa Claus! by CHUNG HA

Throwing some K-Pop into the mix. This is a English language track from Chung Ha’s EP she released in 2024. It’s a song that captures the holiday spirit in the music and MV as there’s a lively Christmas party hosted by the singer. This song feels cozy and bright!

Favorite Time of Year by India Arie, Joe Sample, Tori Kelly

Three great artists collaborating one song makes for a memorable song! I really enjoy the arrangement of this song and how it evokes the warm memories of time spent together with friends and family. The lyrics are very touching, making it a standout cozy holiday track.

  1. I love holiday music, but this year we had so many strings of lights, we had to choose–music or all the lights? (Not even kidding: I like playing the old CDs and cassettes for nostalgic reasons.)
