Destination Bookstore: Cleveland

Hello everyone! I love visiting independent bookstores and shopping at local businesses regularly. Because it’s important to #shopsmall, I’m starting a series to showcase some indie bookstores in places that I’ve traveled. Here are just some of these shops you can visit in Cleveland, Ohio. These stores also have websites as well if you can’t shop in person!

Loganberry Books

Loganberry Books is independently owned and operated bookstore in the historic Larchmere neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. It was Established in 1994. I won’t lie that I was completely overwhelmed when visiting this store for the first time. There are so many books, eye catching displays, and bookshelves to get lost within. The staff was lovely to chat with and I ended up picking up some titles by local authors. I highly recommend stopping by this store and make sure that give yourself enough time to explore all it has to offer.

Flame & Fable

I got to visit Flame and Fable Books for the first time on Bookstore Romance Day this year. This small, independent bookshop is located in Lakewood. They feature a collection of fantasy and romance titles and awesome bookish merch. I was able to pick up some indie titles and talk to the owner who was the sweetest! She gave me some recs for more romance books I’m looking forward to reads. If you love romance, definitely make a stop by this store.

Half Price Books

Half Price Books is America’s largest family-owned retailer for new and used books which originally opened back in 1972. Surprisingly we don’t have any of these stores in Michigan at all, but a chain similar to it called 2nd & Charles. Like most used book stores you can find some great bargains and even some backlog picks from your personal TBR. They had a great variety of books and media to shop from.

Macs Backs

Mac’s Backs-Books On Coventry is an independently owned shop with 3 floors of used books, events & a community meeting space. This shop had so many great finds and I loved chatting with the booksellers who were so friendly. Great variety of books in this store and I was able to pick up two titles of authors who were new to me. Highly recommend this store.

Stay tuned for another destination! What bookstores do you like to visit in Cleveland?
