Booktube Bites is a weekly segment in which I spotlight cool bookish videos on the internet. I will discuss some entertaining videos and Booktubers which you can check out. Feel free to participate as well, and send in your own recommendations of videos you would like spotlighted.

Instead of the usual video spotlight, I decided I would share a short list of some of the movie adaptations I’m looking forward to this year! I hope I get to watch them all in the theater!

1) The Fifth Wave

Surprising, I still haven’t read this book yet! It’s been on my TBR pile for a while and I just never got a chance to read it. The movie looks pretty promising and full of action. I’ve also seen Moretz (lead actress) in enough movies to know that she will delivers great performances.

2) The Girl on The Train

the girl on the train

I just bought this book last fall, but I haven’t read it yet. Since The Girl on a Train is a thriller, I want to read the book first and then see if the story changes in the movie in any way. A bonus for me is that Emily Blunt stars as the main character and I love her movies.

3) Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies

I actually couldn’t stand this book when I read it, and I never even finished reading it. I thought that with zombies the Pride & Prejudice story line wouldn’t be more intriguing, but it was still kind of a dry read. The movie seems a lot more fast paced and action packed so I think I’ll enjoy the film version much better.

4) A Monster Calls

I just found out about this book late last year after hearing such good things about it from fellow book bloggers. The story seems really interesting and I can’t wait to read it and watch it on the big screen!

5) Fantastic Beasts and Where to find Them

Anything even remotely related to Harry Potter has definitely got my interest! I’ve seen the trailer and from the sneak peaks it looks like it will be a terrific movie. It’s got some notable actors and I know they’ll add some cool CGI effects!

What are some book to movie adaptations are you looking forward to in 2016? Comment below! 😀
